Lloyd appeared to pull his groin sometime in the second half and played sparingly in the fourth quarter. Although he brushed off any injury after the game, coach John Fox included his No. 1 receiver on his injury list. Lloyd had six catches for 89 yards before leaving, racking up a team-high 11 targets.

Yeah as a Lloyd owner im a little mystified by this. Apparently Lloyd pulled his groin at the same time he fumbled that pass that he also recovered. He came off the sideline and (im no lipreader mind you) but there was a short convo between him and fox

From that point on Denver went with a 3 WR group of Royal, Decker, Willis, and a mixed in TE Fells lined up as a WR, also RB Bell lined up as a wr on the TD play when IIRC they had 5 wides spread out. On that TD drive, Lloyd did return for one play, and it seemed that he wasnt quite running right, and he didnt return after that

Fox doesn't get wins, and he doesn't give injury updates either. "We're day to day," Fox said about Moreno, Champ Bailey (hamstring), Elvis Dumervil (shoulder), and Brandon Lloyd (groin). "... When they're cleared medically they'll practice." Moreno won't be a fantasy option in Week 2 after his third hamstring injury over the past two seasons. The Broncos play the Bengals Sunday.

</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>The Broncos just played on Monday night, so they probably weren't going to let any dinged-up players practice Wednesday regardless of severity. That said, the team deemed Lloyd's groin injury serious enough to have a Tuesday MRI. Secretive John Fox provided no update on that MRI Wednesday, and Lloyd's status is completely uncertain heading into a Week 2 tilt with Cincinnati.

Lloyd is the lone wolf of the injured players, as Knowshon Moreno (hamstring), Champ Bailey (hamstring), and Elvis Dumervil (shoulder) remain sidelined. This obviously increases Lloyd's chances of playing against the Bengals. Whether Lloyd will be 100 percent -- let alone active -- is a crapshoot at this point because the Broncos have been so secretive about all of the injuries. We'd lean toward sitting Lloyd in a tough matchup with Cincinnati RCB Leon Hall.

</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>Broncos coach John Fox believes players need to practice to get on the playing field on game day, and Lloyd was able to get in some work on Friday. We'd still be a bit leery of Lloyd's effectiveness coming off what seems to be a nagging muscle injury in a tough matchup with Bengals RCB Leon Hall. Consider Lloyd more of a risky WR3 play than a WR2 for this game.

Multiple reports have indicated that Lloyd is likely to return against the Titans, while Moreno also appears on track after missing Week 2. Lloyd is Denver's clear-cut No. 1 receiver, and he'll take some of the life out of Eric Decker's sleeper appeal. Moreno would return to a committee attack with Willis McGahee, who's managed a weak 3.25 YPC average through two games.
